Custom Chillers

Pal engineering Group builds custom chillers and cooling plants to suit process applications ranging from 1 ton to 300+ tons. For capacities greater than 300 tons please contact our sales and application engineering team. All chillers are available with various design features such as scroll, screw, reciprocating or centrifugal compressors, shell & tube, brazed plate evaporator and condensers, pump-tank packages integrated in the chiller or separate based on customer requirements. Chillers are available as a single point power, make-up water, drain, process supply and return connections or also as packages with remote pump tank stations, remote refrigerant condensers and remote evaporator sections.

Standard Features

    • Choice of scroll, reciprocating, or screw compressors
    • Ferrous or Non-ferrous centrifugal pump (end-suction or in-line based on model)
    • Stainless steel brazed plate evaporator (shell & tube available)
    • In-line full flow water filter/strainer
    • Insulated integral non-ferrous tank and water piping (separate assemblies for larger models available)
    • Microprocessor based temperature controller and electrical panel with status and alarm lights
    • Head pressure control to maintain consistent condensing temperature (via fan speed controller or water regulating valve for water-cooled condenser)
    • Liquid filled pressure gauges
    • High/low refrigerant pressure cut-off, flow switch, freeze stat provided as standard safeties
    • Casters or Lifting eyes on base frame for ease of lifting and movements
